Our Programmes

All Our Programmes are…

1. Designed to empower people with the motivation mindsets and skills needed to flourish at work, at home, and within their communities.

2. Proven as a catalyst that accelerates and magnifies the impact of any other training that follows.

3. Led by you. We do not believe in a one size fits all model and we always begin with a conversation with you!

We are adaptable, flexible, and responsive to context; above all, we want to speak into your sustainability and community transformation goals.

Whether it's gender empowerment, capacity building, financial literacy, youth employment, community transformation or poverty alleviation we want to work with you to shape what is best for your context and desired outcomes.

Education & the Classroom

The importance of education cannot be overstated. Our programmes transform and enrich the lives of young people. We empower teachers to take more responsibility for changing the classroom experience; creating a quality of learning that all children deserve.

We also track the ripple effect! Community sharing creates strong and long-lasting community memory, new knowledge systems can transform communities for generations to come, and we are committed to longterm, sustainable, systemic change.

Here is a snapshot of the kind of change we’re talking about:

  • Sustainable & flourishing supply chain & supply chain communities in Rwanda:

70 tea workers from Sorwathe Tea Estate started 64 livelihoods projects resulting in employment for 179 people and a positive impact on 3470 others. income increased by 20-30%.

The same income increase was experienced by workers at Gisovu Tea Plantation & small holder coffee farmers at Kopakama.

  • Gender Empowerment in Bangladesh:

76% of the 90 women from 20 textile factories who attended our training have since taken up roles of greater responsibilities in their workplace.

  • Entrepreneurship in Rwanda:

735 graduating teachers from University of Rwanda received mindset change, financial literacy & entrepreneurship training. Within 1 month 46% had started an income generating project that provided an initial income of $45/month.

  • Community Transformation in Kenya:

Investing in creating change-makers & leaders resulted in 161% increase in household saving, 84% improvement in health & improved self esteem, and 85% taking action to improve their families education.

  • Education in Rwanda:

We invested in the leadership of 92 teachers across Rulindo district in Rwanda. Within 3 months 98% of teachers said it had impacted how they use their money, 78% of teachers said the training had benefited their relationships, and 52% said it had impacted the quality of their teaching.

Our Ethos

In nearly 2 decades of programmes on social development in supply chains, Emerging Leaders stands out in terms of impact but also the skills learnt really help entrepreneurs flourish.

What?

  • To be youth-centric in our approach; either though direct investment or by transforming the networks around them so they can become the change makers of today and tomorrow;

  • To lay the foundations for systemic change by unlocking the potential for human flourishing; without which the story stays the same;

How?

  • By creating dynamic programmes which both engage and empower people, for the nourishment of robust and sustainable livelihoods - wellbeing, and security;

  • By placing Mindset Change at the centre of our approach, creating action oriented learning experiences that are practical, applicable, and transferable;

Why?

  • Because everyone is able to lead at some level in their life. Leadership potential is within all of us and there is no fundamental change without good leadership;

  • Because we all need long term, sustainable change; in both communities and supply chains.

    We want to help facilitate this.

“To continue improving the human condition, our most important priority is to help create opportunities in Africa’s fastest growing countries. This means investing in young people."
